Software, AI and growth, explained.

A practical guide for growing businesses in the Netherlands and beyond. Custom software, mobile apps, cloud, AI automation and agents, data, B2B lead generation, SEO and SEA, social media and web design: what each one is, when it makes sense, what it involves and how to choose the right partner.

01 · Who we are

About AWI Solutions

AWI Solutions is an Amsterdam team of developers, designers, marketers and growth specialists. The name stands for Ameer Worldwide Innovations. We build tailor-made software, AI automation and lead generation for businesses that want to grow, and we stay with them long after launch.

Our mission is to drive measurable business growth through innovation, automation and intelligent digital systems. We combine two areas of expertise: custom software solutions and data-driven lead generation. Together they cover the two things most growing businesses need: running more efficiently, and finding more of the right customers.

We believe that building a successful business should also mean being able to give something back. One of our biggest dreams is to create a place that people can truly call home: a safe, welcoming space for children and adults who need support. As our company grows, we hope to turn this vision into reality. AWI Solutions is part of the AWI group, alongside TAJLY.

What we stand for

  • Built around you. Tailor-made, never off-the-shelf.
  • Honest from day one. A free audit and a fixed proposal. No surprises.
  • Yours to keep. Your code, your data and your accounts.
  • Business with purpose. Part of every project goes back.
02 · Build

Custom software development

Custom software is built specifically for your business: your workflow, your data, your customers. Instead of adapting your team to a generic tool, the tool adapts to the way you actually work. It can be a web platform, an internal system, a customer portal, a SaaS product or a combination.

When custom software beats an off-the-shelf tool

Off-the-shelf software is often the right choice for standard tasks. Custom software starts to pay off when one or more of these is true:

  • Your process is your advantage. The way you serve customers, plan work or price jobs is what sets you apart, and generic tools flatten it.
  • You run on a patchwork. Spreadsheets, email threads and several tools that don't talk to each other, held together by manual copy and paste.
  • Licence costs grow faster than value. Per-user fees keep rising while you only use a fraction of the features.
  • Your team works around the tool. Workarounds, double entry and "we just do this bit by hand" are signs the software no longer fits.
  • You want a product of your own. A platform or app your customers use and pay for.

What we can build

  • Custom CRM and ERP systems
  • SaaS platforms with subscriptions
  • Inventory, billing and booking systems
  • Admin dashboards and analytics panels
  • Customer and supplier portals
  • APIs, databases and integrations between existing tools

How a custom software project runs

  1. Requirement analysis. We map your business needs, workflows and goals, and agree a clear scope.
  2. UI and UX design. Intuitive screens and flows, shaped with your feedback before we build.
  3. Development. Robust, scalable software with modern technology and clean code.
  4. Testing and quality assurance. Thorough testing so the software is secure, reliable and fast across devices.
  5. Deployment. A smooth launch with minimal disruption to your team.
  6. Maintenance and support. Updates and improvements as your business evolves.

What determines the cost

There is no honest one-size price for custom software, because no two projects are the same. The main factors are the scope and number of features, the number of systems it needs to connect to, the platforms you need (web, iOS, Android), the complexity of the design, how much data has to be migrated, and the level of ongoing support. That is why we scope every project after a free audit and give you a fixed proposal before any work starts, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Example of what this can look like

A wholesaler takes orders by email and tracks them in a shared spreadsheet. We map the order flow, build a portal where customers place and track orders, and connect it to stock and invoicing. The team stops retyping orders, and customers stop calling to ask where their delivery is. (An illustrative example of a typical engagement.)

03 · Build

Mobile app development

We design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android with a strong focus on usability, speed and scalability. Apps can be customer-facing, like an ordering or booking app, or internal tools that help your team work in the field.

Native or cross-platform?

Native apps are built separately for iOS and Android and give the deepest access to each platform. Cross-platform apps share one codebase across both, which usually means faster delivery and simpler maintenance. For most business apps, cross-platform development delivers native-quality performance at a lower total cost. We advise per project.

Typical apps we build

  • E-commerce and ordering apps
  • Fitness and wellness apps
  • On-demand service and booking apps
  • Social and community platforms
  • Business apps for internal operations, including offline use

From idea to App Store

  1. Requirement planning. App goals, target audience and core features.
  2. UI and UX design. Intuitive, mobile-first interfaces.
  3. Development and backend integration. Scalable, responsive apps connected to your systems.
  4. Testing and optimisation. Smooth performance on real devices.
  5. Launch. Publication on the App Store and Google Play.
  6. Maintenance and updates. Regular improvements and new features.
04 · Build

Cloud solutions

Cloud infrastructure lets your systems scale with demand, stay available and stay secure without you managing physical servers. We help businesses move to the cloud, set up new infrastructure and automate deployments, on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.

What we do in the cloud

  • Cloud migration from on-premise servers or older hosting
  • Backend infrastructure for web and mobile apps
  • Scalable databases and APIs
  • DevOps pipelines that automate testing and deployment
  • Cloud storage, backups, recovery and security
  • Cost optimisation, so you only pay for what you use

Questions to ask before you migrate

  • Which systems are business-critical, and what downtime is acceptable during the move?
  • Where must your data be stored, for example inside the EU?
  • Who manages security, access rights and backups after the migration?
  • How will costs change as usage grows?
05 · Automate

AI automation for growing businesses

AI automation uses artificial intelligence to handle work that used to need a person: answering common questions, reading and sorting documents, moving data between systems, preparing reports and following up on tasks. The goal is not to replace your people, but to free them from the repetitive, error-prone work so they can focus on the work that actually needs them.

Where AI automation helps most

  • Customer service. An assistant that answers frequent questions instantly and hands complex cases to your team.
  • Sales. Enriching leads, drafting personalised follow-ups and keeping your CRM up to date.
  • Operations. Turning incoming requests into planned jobs, and updating systems automatically.
  • Administration and finance. Reading invoices and documents, checking data and preparing it for approval.
  • Reporting. Collecting data from several systems into clear, automatic reports.

How to start with AI automation

  1. Pick one repetitive, high-volume task. Something your team does daily, with clear rules or plenty of examples.
  2. Measure it today. How long does it take, how often does it go wrong, what does it cost?
  3. Automate a small version first. A proof of concept shows the impact before you invest further.
  4. Keep a person in the loop where accuracy matters, and monitor results.
  5. Scale what works to the next process.

Using AI responsibly

Good AI automation is designed with privacy and accuracy in mind. That means only using the data a task actually needs, being clear about where data is stored and processed, keeping human review for important decisions, and monitoring performance over time. In Europe the GDPR applies to personal data, and the EU AI Act introduces obligations that depend on how risky an AI use case is. We keep data in the EU where required and never train public models on your data.

Example of what this can look like

A service company answers the same customer questions all day and copies every request into its planning tool by hand. We build an AI assistant that answers common questions instantly and an automation that turns each request into a planned job. The team only handles the cases that genuinely need a person. (An illustrative example of a typical engagement.)

Many teams also want to understand AI themselves. Alongside building automations, we offer AI workshops and mentoring, so your team learns how to use modern AI tools effectively and safely in their own work.

06 · Automate

AI agents, explained

A chatbot answers questions. An AI agent gets things done. You give it a goal, it decides which steps are needed, uses tools such as your CRM, email, calendar or database, and completes the task end to end. Where it matters, a person reviews the result before it goes out.

What AI agents can do for a business

  • Qualify incoming leads and book meetings in your calendar
  • Handle routine customer requests from start to finish
  • Prepare quotes or proposals from a short brief
  • Monitor inboxes or forms and route requests to the right person
  • Research companies and summarise what matters before a sales call

Our AI automation process

  1. Process analysis. We find where automation saves the most time and money.
  2. Build and integrate. We build the agent or workflow and connect it to your systems.
  3. Performance monitoring. We track accuracy and reliability once it is live.
  4. Continuous improvement. We refine it as your business and data evolve.
07 · Understand

Data analysis and dashboards

Most businesses already have the data they need to make better decisions. It is just spread across systems and spreadsheets. We turn raw data into clear insight: what is working, where you lose money, which customers matter most and what is likely to happen next.

What we build

  • Business performance dashboards
  • Sales and revenue reports
  • Customer behaviour analysis
  • Predictive analytics models
  • Data visualisation tools

How it works

  1. Data collection. Gathering structured and unstructured data from your systems.
  2. Cleaning and processing. Making sure it is accurate, consistent and ready for analysis.
  3. Visualisation. Dashboards and reports your team actually uses.
  4. Insight and prediction. Spotting trends and forecasting outcomes to support decisions.
08 · Modernise

Digital transformation and legacy upgrades

Digital transformation means integrating modern technology into the way your business already works, to reduce manual effort and improve productivity. It is rarely one big project. It is a series of well-chosen improvements, each with a clear, measurable impact.

  • Automating manual workflows
  • Digitising paper or email-based processes
  • Building internal tools for teams
  • Integrating systems that don't talk to each other
  • Upgrading or migrating legacy systems

Our approach: analyse where the biggest gains are, implement the right tools, automate the repetitive work, help your team through the change, and keep improving.

09 · Grow

B2B lead generation

Lead generation is the process of finding the companies most likely to buy from you and starting real conversations with them. Done well, it gives your sales team a steady, predictable pipeline so they can spend their time closing deals rather than searching for prospects.

The building blocks

  • An ideal customer profile (ICP). Which industries, company sizes, regions and roles are most likely to buy, and why.
  • Accurate data. Verified B2B lead databases and contact lists built for your market.
  • The right channels. LinkedIn, personal email outreach, SEO, Google Ads and social media, combined to suit your audience.
  • Relevant messaging. Outreach that speaks to a real problem, not a generic pitch.
  • Lead qualification. Filtering for high-potential prospects so your team talks to the right people.
  • CRM integration. Every lead and conversation tracked in one place.

What to measure

The number of leads matters less than what happens next. We measure campaigns on conversations, meetings and conversions, and keep optimising for return on investment.

A note on privacy

B2B outreach can be compliant with the GDPR when it is relevant, proportionate and based on a valid legal ground such as legitimate interest, with a clear way to opt out and careful handling of personal data. Rules differ per channel and country, so the specifics should always be checked for your situation. This guide is not legal advice.

Example of what this can look like

A B2B company sells to logistics firms but relies almost entirely on referrals. We define the ideal customer, build a verified list of decision-makers, and run a personal LinkedIn and email sequence alongside targeted Google Ads. Sales spends its week in conversations instead of research. (An illustrative example of a typical engagement.)

10 · Grow

SEO and SEA: search marketing

SEO (search engine optimisation) improves your organic, unpaid position in Google over time. SEA (search engine advertising), such as Google Ads, buys visibility immediately and stops when you stop paying. SEO builds a lasting asset; SEA brings fast, targeted traffic. Most businesses get the best results by combining both.

What good SEO includes

  • Keyword research. Understanding what your customers actually search for.
  • On-page SEO. Clear page titles, headings, structure and content for each topic.
  • Technical SEO. Fast loading, mobile-friendly pages that search engines can crawl and index.
  • Content strategy. Helpful content that answers real questions and earns trust.
  • Local SEO. Being found by businesses in your city or region.

What good SEA includes

  • Campaigns targeted at high-intent search terms
  • Landing pages built to convert
  • Conversion tracking, so every euro can be traced to results
  • Continuous testing and optimisation
11 · Grow

Social media marketing

A consistent, attractive presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok builds recognition and trust long before someone is ready to buy. We plan, create and manage content that connects with your audience, and combine creativity with analytics so growth is measurable.

  • Content planning and creation, including short-form video
  • Day-to-day social media management
  • Audience engagement and community building
  • Targeted social ad campaigns
  • Analytics and reporting

Alongside social, we run email marketing and conversion funnels, so attention turns into enquiries.

12 · Design

Web design and branding

People decide in seconds whether to trust you. A dated website or an inconsistent brand quietly costs you clients, even when the work behind it is excellent. Good design makes a strong first impression and builds trust everywhere your customers meet you.

What makes a business website convert

  • Clarity in seconds. Visitors immediately understand what you do and who you help.
  • One clear next step. An obvious way to get in touch or book a call.
  • Trust signals. Real reviews, real people, clear contact details.
  • Speed and mobile. Fast loading and a great experience on phones.
  • Findability. Built to rank, with clean structure and content.

What we design

  • Websites and landing pages
  • UI and UX design for websites and apps
  • Brand identity: logo, colour and typography
  • Social media creatives and marketing materials
  • Pitch decks and presentations
13 · Decide

How to choose a technology partner

Whichever agency you work with, these questions protect your business:

  • Who owns the code, data and accounts? It should be you, from day one.
  • Do you get a fixed proposal? A clear scope and price before work starts avoids surprises.
  • Can you see it before you commit? A prototype or proof of concept reduces risk.
  • Who will you actually work with? Real people who understand your business, not just a ticket system.
  • What happens after launch? Maintenance, updates and support should be clear.
  • Where is your data stored? Especially important for personal data in the EU.
  • Can they show real reviews? Genuine client feedback says more than any promise.
14 · Process

How we work: four steps

  1. Audit. A free 30-minute call, then a focused look at where software, AI or lead generation can make the biggest difference. You get a clear overview of your opportunities and a fixed proposal.
  2. Prototype. A working first version you can click through and test, usually within weeks, before you commit to the full build.
  3. Build. Built properly: secure, robust and integrated with your tools, with your code, data and accounts in your hands.
  4. Scale. After launch we measure what works, refine it and keep improving it with you through ongoing support.

17 · Questions

Frequently asked questions

When is custom software better than an off-the-shelf tool?

When your process is a competitive advantage, when you are combining several tools that don't work together, when licence costs keep rising with your team, or when your team keeps working around the tool. For standard tasks with standard processes, a good existing tool is often the better choice, and we will tell you so.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on scope, integrations, platforms, design complexity and ongoing support. Every project is scoped after a free audit, and you receive a fixed proposal before any work starts. You only pay for what moves the needle.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope. After the audit we agree a timeline together, and you usually see a clickable prototype within weeks.

What is the difference between AI automation and an AI agent?

AI automation handles a defined task or sequence, such as reading invoices or answering common questions. An AI agent can take a goal, decide the steps and use several tools to complete it end to end, with human review where it matters.

Will AI replace my team?

That is not the goal. AI takes over repetitive, error-prone work so your people can spend more time on customers, quality and growth.

Is our data safe with AI?

We keep data in the EU where required and never train public models on it. We only use the data a task needs, and keep human review for important decisions.

Who owns the code and data?

You do, from day one. Your code, your data and your accounts belong to your business.

Can you work with our existing tools?

Yes. We integrate with the systems you already use and only replace what is holding you back.

Do you support us after launch?

Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance, updates and improvements, so your systems keep pace with your business.

What is the difference between SEO and SEA?

SEO improves your unpaid position in search over time. SEA buys immediate visibility through ads such as Google Ads. Combined, they cover both long-term growth and short-term demand.

Is B2B lead generation allowed under the GDPR?

It can be, when outreach is relevant, proportionate and based on a valid legal ground such as legitimate interest, with clear opt-out options. Rules differ per channel and country, so always check the specifics for your situation.

Do you build mobile apps for both iOS and Android?

Yes. We advise per project whether native or cross-platform development fits best, and handle the launch on the App Store and Google Play.

Do you offer AI training for teams?

Yes. We offer AI workshops and mentoring so your team learns to use modern AI tools effectively and safely.

Do you offer a free marketing scan?

Yes. Our free online marketing scan shows how your business performs online today, where the biggest opportunities are, and gives you concrete, tailored advice.

Do you work outside the Netherlands?

Yes. We are based in Amsterdam and work with clients in Dutch or English.
